Plans are to have the next Classic in October of 2021.
Changes are being talked about for the format of the 2021 Captain Mel Classic.
The Open and No Motor divisions, combined into one division.
Other changes are being discussed. Total Inches is gone.
Longest redfish, longest trout. No bonus species. The other divisions will remain the same. Payouts for longest trout and redfish but NO combined inches. This will allow more payouts per species. Slight raise in the entry fee, more charity money and more payout money.
Host site is the Fat Cat Tavern in Largo, once again.
The entry fee will now be $40 for all divisions except Junior. Junior entry fee is just $20.

Suncoast Animal League will remain the charity.
Neil Taylor has stepped down as director. Donald Waiberman and Brian Pershing are now organizing the event.
