A “Shrimp” Fly

Materials:

Hook — Gamakatsu Saltwater Series, SC15, Size 1

Brass Bead — 3/16 Inch

Wings — EP Fiber

Step One:

Add bead to hook and advance thread to back to hook point. 

Step Two:  

Add tail wing of EP Fiber about twice as long as hook.

Step three:

Add second wing on top of first.

Step four:

Turn fly over in vise and add underwing.  Whip finish and you’re done. 

The EP Fiber is stiff and It served as a weed guard.
