This store could also be called “Angler Utopia”, but if you fancy the outdoors: In the snow, on the water, “under water”, camping, fishing, fly-fishing, kayak-fishing, paddle, hunting, hiking, backpacking, searching for treasure with metal detectors, archery or biking- you need to walk in to Bill Jackson’s Shop For Adventure and take a look at this store. With over 40,000 square feet dedicated to the outdoor sportsmen and women, one could spend hours exploring this store. In addition to the merchandise that is available, a novice can gather the information they need to shorten their “learning curve” for their chosen activity.
It has been family owned and operated since 1946. Originally on Fourth Street, the store now exists on a beautiful piece of property on US 19 in Pinellas Park. Amid an otherwise developed area, the store is in a “forest”, thanks to Mrs. J who insisted that the trees remain! Lake access to the north is perfect for trying out recreational and/or fishing kayaks. The indoor pool means “scuba classes.” The indoor classroom translates to dozens of seminar opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts to learn from the experts. The indoor pistol range is another draw to the store. Guns and ammunition are in stock and gun safety courses, and cleaning services are available.
Complete Fishing Department
The fishing department is a comprehensive collection of the very best equipment and tackle for almost every fishing trip local to Florida waters or distant. The guys in the department will also give you fishing tips and advice and will get you going in the right direction to get on some action. 
The product line is comprised of the best name brands, tried-and-tested by the Jackson’s staff. Don’t be surprised to see the same people every time you visit the store. These folks are all “long time” employees of the Jackson family. Their experience and knowledge helps to guarantee that you get the right equipment for any adventure. Don’t be surprised if you meet Mr. J or Darry, “Mrs. J” or Doug Jackson as you enjoy your time in their facility.

Bill Jackson’s hosts club meetings such as the Bay Area Canoe, Kayak Club, The Adventurous Woman, “Kayak Fishing School”, Tampa Bay Sea Kayakers, Suncoast Search and Recovery (metal detecting) and multiple ski and fly fishing groups. Guest speakers for many of these clubs are fishing guides, outdoor experts.
