Our Fish Picture of the Week!

Hi,

This is a photo of the end to a long day of fishing yesterday. The fish in the photos is a 52 inch cobia caught on a 3-0 hook and 30# leader on my little pink Ugly Stick - yes I was very patient. It took just shy of 1 hour to get it to the boat. Wouldn't have seemed nearly so hard except for the fact that I had already caught a 7ft shark that took well over an hour to bring in, and another shark 3ft along with the occasional grouper and snapper which was what we went to get. The guys thought I wouldn't be able to lift this fish - guess they were wrong. Moral of the story - never under estimate a little pink Ugly Stick or a not so big girl who is patient and determined!!!!

Suzanne Thornburg
(Yes, we ordered pizza for dinner - I was too tired to make the sushi when I finished at 11:30)

Congratulations to Suzanne for that spectacular cobia catch..  As her prize, she will receive a "Capt. Mel MirrOlure assortment" of some of the most  productive, fish-catching plugs to share.
