Our Fish Picture of the Week!

Hey Cap

Just wanted to share this Snook Pic with all the Bay anglers.

Took this bad boy on a live greenback under a poppin cork in the no motor zone South of the spoil Island next to Port Manatee.

After searching for bait @ ever tripod in the Bay we were forced to make the run to the Skyway. After two casts we had all we needed for the day.

We were headed for our spot close to Piney Point Creek when we made a quick detour to the spoils. MAN was that a great idea. As soon as we dropped the powerpole and baited a few hooks we knew it was going to be a good couple of hours.

After rippin off a dozen our so snook we noticed a ton of Mangrove hanging around the boat. So we Cut up some greenies and limited on the snapper within and hour.
Thats when the snook started to tear into the cut bait. First time we have caught snook on cut bait so it made things even more exciting.

After the tide slowed down and the bite stopped is when the big boy slammed the greenback that had been circling the bobber for about 5 minutes. I was so worried about the fish I forgot to measure the beast.

I heard they trying to close this area from the bay fishermen. Is this true? I sure hope not cause on an outgoing tide I will be there again for sure.

Thanks for all you do.
