Our Fish Picture of the Week!
Hi Captain Mel,
It was an early trip out on Terra Ceia Bay fishing with a friend and his brother (Corey and Andrew) boat. I really don’t know how to explain the experience catching this fish, to me I was the biggest inshore fish for me and an experience of a life time. This fish is a 43” Snook once caught it took 2 long runs, it ripped about 100 yards each time thinking it was a shark because we where fishing in a deeper area off the sand bar. Took me 15 to 20 minutes to get the fish to the boat. I was using a 7’ medium action rod spooled with 10lb power pro and 20lb Segar fluorocarbon leader using a 1/0 owner circle hook. The Snook inhaled a palm sized white bait. After a great fight, we revived her and she swam away healthy.
Thank you
