Finding The Perfect Gift!

It’s the end of the year and this was always my favorite time of year growing up. Thanksgiving always brought good family times, food, and good football. December brings some awesome fishing but most importantly its Christmas time. Every year I always try to write an article to help out with some gift ideas for those who don’t fish but plan on buying for someone who fishes or just doesn’t know what to buy for that special someone.  Here are some good ideas that will make every fisherman smile from ear to ear.

Picking up some woody wax soap or wax is a great stocking stuffer and anyone who owns a boat will put it to good use. Woody Wax has some of the industry’s best cleaning supplies and wax products to keep your boat in like new condition. Most local tackle shops carry woody wax. For more information check out their web site at www.woody-wax.com

Another great gift for just about any angler from novice to expert is a cast net. Cast nets on the west central area are used every day almost year round. Cast Nets can seem a bit confusing when it comes to sizes and brands but you can’t go wrong going with an 8 to 10 foot 3/8 mesh net. While there is a bunch of nets out there I have found a few that are great nets with both the adequate weight and good quality and both the Humpback  and Calusa nets will make for a great gift. If someone is a novice angler both companies mentioned above offer videos that are very informative and will show you various ways to throw a net. You can find both at a retailer near you.

A  Rhodan GPS Trolling Motor is great gift idea if you are looking for a nice big gift and really want to see that special someone smile ear to ear. This is a gift that is sure to make any inshore angler overwhelmed on Christmas day. Rhodan has a built in GPS which enables you to use the trolling motor to anchor your boat with the push of a button. It also has a track feature which allows you to record a path, run the same path the next time you come back to that particular spot. They have both 12 and 24 volt systems. Castaway Customs can add that custom touch to your boat to make it look awesome and give you added comfort without the hassles of big bulky cushions. Castaway Customs offers Sea Deck material in any color and any size and they can custom fit pieces to just about any part of your boat. They offer a mobile service and will be able to both cut and install pieces to your boat as you would like. Sea Deck works good on the deck to give you added comfort on your feet and inside the hatches to keep items from sliding around in the boat. Castaway Customs can also add just about any logo or custom names you would like. This would make the perfect gift for any fisherman or boater on any size boat. Power Pole a locally based company that has become nationally recognized through the bass circuit has stepped up the product yet another notch. They have come out with the all new Blade series which come in 8 and 10 foot. These new power poles are stronger, faster, faster and better. Any fisherman from bass fishing to the flats will love to have one of these items stuffed under the tree. I have had the pleasure of using a power pole on my boat from the start of the company and they have revolutionized inshore fishing as we see it.
