Fishing on the Indian River Lagoon Coast of Florida this past week continued to be good with large black drum and redfish being the mainstay.  When contacted by John from Boston, he expressed his desire to put his 12 year old son Danny on a big fish and my first thoughts were to target tarpon and sharks out of Port Canaveral, but as breezy conditions and elevated seas materialized making Plan B was our next option.  Here on a short vacation, John, Danny and Kyle only had one day to fish, so we opted to target big black drum in the Indian River Lagoon, and we managed to put Danny on his all time largest fish which he caught all on his own.
