A Short Indian River Lagoon Fishing Report
This is a short Indian River Lagoon fishing report.
After two days of wind and cold, the forecast for Wednesday was sunny, high 60s, wind light and variable. That’s the day to go fishing!
Several people have asked me about the no motor zone lately, so I drove over there hoping for the best. I’ve never been to a cesspool but the water in the Banana River Lagoon looks like what I imagine a cesspool would look like. I left and went to the Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge.
After launching the kayak I went looking for fish. I didn’t see much but did run a few over. After paddling a while I stopped and cast blindly. To my surprise and joy, a decent trout took my Clouser Minnow.
On the way back I found a few fish tailing. I was surprised at how aggressive they were. I got three slot reds on a bendback.
The weather came back the rest of the week. Only fished that one day.
That a short Indian River Lagoon Fishing Report! Thanks for reading!
Life is great and I love my work!
Life is short- Go Fishing!
