Indian River Lagoon Coast Fishing Report, May 18, 2016

From listening to the weather man, you would thing we are under a flash flood adversary, well I was very disappointed in having to rearrange my fishing schedule to avoid fishing in stormy conditions, and we hardly receive any rain at my house in Chuluota.  Well I have two thinks to say about that, first you can hardly rely on what the weather man tells you, second welcome to Florida.

On Sunday I was honored to have another birthday angler aboard Three Quarter Time with the hopes of catching a birthday redfish, and again we were blessed by the fish gods. Birthday girl Jennifer, her father Less and her friend Jasmine joined me for a half day charter on the Mosquito Lagoon and Jen ended the day catching two very respectable redfish between 46 and 40 inched, and Jasmine caught a 36 inch redfish as well.  All of the big redfish were caught on bait.  The first and largest was caught on a chunk of ladyfish and the other two were caught on cracked crab.  I know, chunking bait is not the most glamorous method of catching redfish, but we the dirty water we have been experiencing on the lagoons, it is the most productive.

As always, if you need information or have any questions, please contact me.

Good luck and good fishing,
