Redfishing has been the top fish as of late. Using artificial lures like the MirrOlure LiL Johns will keep you in action without having to put a shrimp on for every cast. The last hour of the incoming tide is when the best bite will climax and finding fish before that can be a decent bite turning in to a real redfish school experience. Porpoise working schools of mullet can help lead you to the right area to begin catching fish. The trout bite has picked up on the outgoing tide and first part of the incoming. Rock grass patches are the best spots to target. If on a drift over good bottom an angler catches a trout, use a marking buoy. At some point during the tide phases the trout will bite and the duration could be short or long but it only take a fish or two to be in the right spot. Popping corks with a jig is the best bait. The nearshore rocks are producing a few grunt, snapper and flounder. live shrimp is the best bait. Look for keeper gag grouper to start showing up in the 15 foot range. High incoming tide will be early morning this weekend.
