Nature Coast: William Toney

Looking at a week of breezy cooler temperatures that will change up the fishing some. I believe that the Gulf water temperatures are warm enough that the trout will hang around the outside mouths of creeks. With a low tide during most of the day look to find fish in the deeper channels and as the day warms look for trout to move up from the deeper channels to the shallow edges. One of the best baits is a D.O.A. 5.5 glow jerk with a nosed hooked 3/0 Owner bait hook. 

 For snook try the rivers because it maybe just enough cold to turn of the one’s on the outside off but warm enough in the rivers to keep them biting. Docks, rocky points and downed trees along the banks are the best places to target. Live shrimp on the bottom might bring a few black drum to the boat and get you out of the wind while fishing in the river. 

 Triple tail are on the crab buoys but most of them are small but can be a fun fish to catch with a fly rod. A  all white  streamer is a good fly to go with because you can track it in the water and watch the fish eat. High incoming tide will be midday this weekend.
