More products brought to you by St Croix:  The fly rod choices are excellent.  In this edition, my first fly rod:  The Imperial.   In the years that followed, I added the Avid and the Legend Elite.  The Imperial is what I would call “the equivalent of the Tidemaster” for those who know the spinning rods in the St Croix line.  It is a solid choice for anyone who needs a fly rod.   Well built, it feels good in the hands and doesn’t break the bank getting you into a fly rod.

When I added in the other two fly rods, the Imperial went to my nephew who is now exclusively a fly angler.   He considers it one of the best acquisitions in his life and is using it to successfully catch fish consistently.

As a guide who has had people using this equipment for years:  The Imperial Fly is worth your consideration.     The Avid and the Legend Elite, also worth considering, with fishing you need to find what works best for you.    The Imperial may be that rod.
